I came across these while waiting at the mall for my car to get cleaned. Not, I’m not the kind who gets her car cleaned by other people regularly. Then why was I doing it now you ask? Oh, let me tell you, my dog threw up on the drivers seat. Yes, he did. So I had to get it fixed by professionals, and it took three hours, so I had some time to kill!
Anyway, lets get back to it… I didn’t know Maybelline had made textured polishes! I haven’t seen anyone swatch them and when I tried to google I found very little information. But they were there, so of course I had to get them (my dog threw up in my car, I deserved new polish).
These three are very similar in formula and application. I needed two coats for perfect coverate, they applied very easily and dried pretty quickly. And like all textured polishes they dried to a textured finish(!). They are very sparkly and contains lots of glitters, regular fine glitter and some larger hexes, I think they all dry to a very pretty finish
Maybelline ColorShow – Light Up
Silver base with silver glitter, I actually ended up liking this color much more than I expected! It just looked so clean on my nails.
Maybelline ColorShow – Rose Chic
Not quite sure what to call this color nude-rosy-chamgane? It looks very soft and elegant on the nails.
Maybelline ColorShow – Silver Touch
This was utterly gorgeous! I lilac purple with lots of sparkle, think this is my favorite of the three!
“Now, wait a minute?” I’m sure your thinking “Does these not look like OPI’s from this Christmas?”, why, yes, they do! I do not have any of the liquid sands from the 2013 christmas collection, but I would say they look very much like It’s Frosty Outside, Silent Stars Go By and Baby Please Come Home! I don’t think they’re exact dupes, but if you couldn’t get the OPIs, or you want a cheaper alternative, these from Maybelline could probably do the trick
