Get ready for a long and picture heavy post, because I have swatches of the new OPI Venice, fall 2015, collection!
I have a video review as well as a blog post, watch the video to get more of my in depth thoughts about each polish and collection. And then look closer at the swatches and comparisons in this post! I have also included comparison of similar nail polishes in this blog post so you can more easily decide if a polish is worth getting!
St. Mark’s The Spot is a beautiful dark blue shimmer nail polish. I like how the shimmer gives it a glows from within look!
This is one of my favorite nail polishes from the Venice collection!
A lighter version of St. Mark’s The Spot, Venice The Party also has a glowing from within look, but it’s a little bit brighter.
My Gondola Or Yours? might look like a regular black nail polish, but it is not. It’s a black créme with silver shimmer, and the shimmer makes this polish absolutely stunning!
In the photo below I tried to capture the shimmer, so you can see how beautiful it really is.
O Suzi Mio is a dark eggplant purple, it dries very quickly and shiny, and I find this dark vampy purple shade perfect for fall!
I used two coats for my swatch of Worth A Pretty Penne, but this is a fantastic one coater! It’s a unique shade of nail polish, it’s a mix of silver and copper shimmer, and combined it looks like rose gold.
I highly recommend you add Worth A Pretty Penne to your nail polish collection!
I Cannoli Wear OPI is a white with a hint of gray, this sort of white polish is perfect as a base for nail art!
I Cannoli Wear OPI is a little bit darker than My Boyfriend Scales Walls, but it’s a very close replacement if you’ve run out of MBSW!
This is a nail polish I would have loved, but since I had to use three coats for full opacity and even coverage Be There In A Prosecco is unfortunately not going to be one I’ll be reaching for often.
Be There In A Prosecco is very similar to My Vampire is Buff.
Tiramisu For Two has a much better formula than Be There In A Prosecco, which is great, since I can never get enough nudes 😉
Tiramisu For Two is actually almost an identical dupe to Do You Take Lei Away!
I was very skeptical to this nail polish, I did not think a peach color would be appealing for fall. But A Great Opera-tunity has a dusty undertone which actually makes it very fall appropriate in my opinion!
A Great Opera-tunity will be one of my go-to shades this fall!
It’s a Piazza Cake surprised me, I did not expect to like this as much as I do. It’s a burnt dark orange, but still bright, this is just fall in a bottle to me!
Although I used two coats for these swatches, it covers perfectly in just one coat, the formula of this polish is just perfection!
Baroque… But Still Shopping is another surprise actually! These swatches does not do it justice, it looks chunky, but it’s really not! I like the combination of silver shimmer and gold glitter. It’s surprisingly pretty and definitely worth checking out!
Gelato On My Mind is not a polish I expected in a fall collection, it’s a bright minty shade that I would find more appropriate for spring.
It’s a very pretty mint shade, but the formula was not very good, having to use three coats is not something I’m happy with.
A lot of people have contacted me about DNA – Young Stuff Mint, but I don’t think it’s available anymore, but Gelato On My Mind is actually a pretty close dupe!
Purple Palazzo Pants is another shade I would consider more spring appropriate, I love these lilac colors for spring! But I do find it slightly odd in a fall collection.
OPI – Gimme A Lido Kiss is a beautiful red polish with gold shimmer, and it also flashes pink in some lights!
Two coats would definitely have been enough for full coverage, but I did feel like I could sort of see my visible nail line, so I went with three coats for the swatches.
Amore At The Grand Canal was a disappointment, I loved the color in the bottle, but when I had to use three coats to make it look good on the nails, it’s just not going to be a polish I’ll reach for.
